Not sure when it happened, but I received another pointless update for Windows. This one forces you to click once on any flash objects before you can interact with them. I hate that. How do I shut it off?

Edit: Never-effing-mind... The particular patch I just linked a minute ago is out of date. Whee.

This patch I'm talkin about forms a grey outline around Flash objects, and requires you to click them to 'activate the control.' I hate this more than anything. Someone kill it!

Please.

You cant fix it your side, it has to be fixed by the person who's website it is, they can fix their flash code. Or rather, modify their flash code to conform to microsofts whims....

I figured I should share what the solution is for the dreadful Microsoft update on April 11th. The fix they released is permanent and will not change. It has affected millions of websites. Now it is up to the web developers to change the code into this new way if they want flash or activex to work as designed.

The reason its on most websites you encounter still is that most sites have not fixed the problem yet. This ONLY affects Internet Explorer (the change is in how activeX works, which only IE uses), so if you switch to a different browser (firefox, opera etc) you won't have the problem.
