Whenever i try to play renegade through gamespy, it always launches the game like it would with the desktop icon without renguard. It always says that i need to upgrade my version of renegade when i have done that around 10 times, trying to start it after every time. Below is a screen shot of what it says.

i've already done that, but now it says that the old file wasn't found. Instead one that has the same name is in its place. That's where i try reinstalling and the same thing over and over again.

Its probably because you installed RG before 1.037
if so;
1) Uninstall RG
2) Uninstall Renegade
3) Delete the folder renegade was in
4) Reinstall Renegade
5) Patch to 1.037
6) Install RG
7) Download core patches (optional)
8 ) Go play Renegade
