Hi
I installed Renegade new since a half year.
1. The Game
2. Patch 1.37
3. RenGuard 1.03 (with automatic patch)
I tried to installe the core patch manuel but the same Problem.
Can't see any writing.
Can someone help me?

Rebooting usually fixes this.

Having no writing on the loadscreen is normal for Core Patch 2.

i had this problem (i'm french, i will try to explain how i did to fix this bug clearly)
the files "54251___.ttf" and "ARI_____.ttf" located in C:\Westwood\Renegade looked corrupted beceause when i opened them, they were blank (instead of the usual "abcdefg...." for .tff files)
to see the writings again in the game, i just have to copy these 2 files from the CD1 (in /setup) and replace them in the game directory

the .ttf files works for 2 or 3 launchs of renegade, then they go empty again. i made a .bat file which copys them each time i launch renegade (the cd1 need to be on a cd driver, or an image of it mounted)
copy F:\Setup\54251___.ttf C:\Westwood\Renegade\54251___.ttf
copy F:\Setup\ARI_____.ttf C:\Westwood\Renegade\ARI_____.ttf
C:\Westwood\Renegade\Renegade.exe
change the drive letters or directory path if you don't have the same
