Yeah I've been banned for RG-bypassing twice on there...getting more than 50 kills is enough proof for that!
Fooker and Tthom were the 2 retards...I guess they're both senile and demented.

I'm sorry you all feel that way. Though I'm not on a lot anymore, in the past (pre-RG), UN had to deal with A LOT of cheaters. Half of any map we ever played was spent proving people had BH (most did) or FinalRen or some other crap. I mean, it was like a second job. A lot of that caution has carried over till now, with bypass hacks and all.
I hear a lot of hate for tthom, and thats a real shame. tthom is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. If he's wronged you somehow, and it was a legitimate mistake, he'll bust his tail to get you back in our servers. But he won't take BS from anybody, nor should he have to. The guy pays half of our server expenses.
As for the other mods, there's only so much control we have over them. But we pick people that play a lot and have our trust. But for as many people that have complained that our mods are too strict, we have just as many saying that there aren't enough mods on to regulate things when they play. Again, if you have a legitimate complaint, we will handle it as best we can. Its hard to please everyone.
No one in UN will claim we are perfect, nor do we expect anyone else to claim that, yet all we hear are complaints that we aren't running a tight ship over in our servers. But hey, if our servers are as bad as some people seem to think, then why are people upset about being banned from there?

His point is that hes been banned for RG bypassing when he hasn't...which means hes entitled to say it..
I don't see how pride has anything to do with it.
UN don't claim to be perfect..fair enough but banning people from IRC and NOT being in the game themselves is pretty stupid really.
For example, me and my clanmate where in the normal map gsa server, it was city flying(hes good in an apache), he manages to kill all the orcas after a while and some low skilled player complains thats hes cheating, then Fooker bans him from IRC. Good job UN.

The UN server has two MAJOR flaws in it.
1: No end of lag if there are more than 10 people playing.
2: A "No 'cussing' policy", which has to be the stupidest most juvinile rule to be thought up.
If they weren't practically the only server to play fanmaps, I wouldn't bother with it.

Seconded. I hate just about everywhere that has this rule - Renegade servers and otherwise. I mean, OH TEH NOSE I SEDID TEH BAD WURDZ!!1
I can, however, accept this if it's something geared toward young audiences (Renegade, being both a T rated game and on teh intarweb, is not) or if it's a compromise, such as "You can curse, but don't abuse your right to curse." A swear every other word isn't that great, either, but a "wtf." every now and then is needed.

I think it's kinda sad when people like Johnny Cade are too unoriginal to come up with anything besides, "F*** YOU YOU F***IN F*** F***ER!". Sometimes cussing just makes a person's message completely unintelligible. A good book to read...

Swearing not being allowed IS a bad thing, because it treats "swear" words differantly than all the other words in the English language, when really they aren't. There's nothing special about the letter arrangement in the word "Shit" that makes it any more threatening than "Hits" or "This" or "Sith". A word is a word is a word, and the only reason people react the way they do to swearing is because they're told to. Newborns and people who don't speak a word of English won't react that way, because there's nothing special or different about them at all.
Making a rule banning cussing makes no more sense to me than a rule that says Crimson wrote on Wed, 12 April 2006 18:48 | ...that no nicknames with the letter "w" can play that day
| because there's absolutely no rationality behind it, other than "I don't like it" or "We have kids here who aren't supposed to be playing anyway". Fucking morons...
As far as the younger audience excuse goes, it's absolute neglegence on behalf of the parents to allow a ten year old to play ANY kind of multiplayer game (Especially a shooter) and expect them not to pick up cussing. If you don't want your kids to have a foul mouth, don't let them play video games online, especially ones that are targeted for an audience much older than they are.

Not to mention the fact that it obviously doesn't *stop* swearing, because people still get banned for it. So they're still going to see cuss words. Though, unless they're like 5 years old they've probably already heard it all.
