Noticed one of my posts has been deleted this morning, idjit and goztow seem to have had the same thing happen, just wondering if someone has been deleting them or what the cause of this was?

How's "you're a retard" in every post of an individual no spam while the answer to that "you're repeating yourself" is considered spam?
How's helping someone solve a firewall problem considered spam?
I know you had some people saying the forum needs more moderation, but still...
You should also make a difference between someone that posts a lot and someone that spams, in my humble opinion.

Aircraftkiller's post was moved along with yours.
My posts get moved just as much as anyone else's, I would say stop whining. Wouldn't be surprised if this thread ended up in their either. No offence, but telling someone to pour water on their computer when they ask for help, and then whining because that post got moved to the silo isn't the brightest course of action.

You guys leave a lot on YSLMuffins' plate. That's a very busy forum. She has removed dozens of things like that from the forum, but please forgive her if she misses some.

Would just like to point out that I wasn't whining about the posts being deleted, in fact it's a good thing, proves to all those idiots complaining about forum moderation that people are doing there jobs.
I was merely enquiring as I had seen Gozy being miffed also at the post removal.

At least where I live, it has to rain every fourth of july. Even if it was uber nice the day before.
|
Alas, this was only my second time really trying to celebrate the fourth. I happened to be on my bike riding toward a gathering of sorts when a massive storm hit. I pulled onto the sidewalk next to some hole-in-the-wall bar but when the the rain started coming down in torrents and I felt like I was going to be zapped by lightning and drowned by SUV-sized waves, I decided to go into the bar with my bike. Having a bike was a charmismatic conversation piece, apparently, because I was the only woman in that bar, and I ended up choosing to risk death by lightning than starve off the stupid drunk advances of a construction worker named Lewis.
He came at me for about five or six times in 40 minutes. He lay pipe for a living. He would like to buy me a drink. He and his friend would really really like some female companyship (oh yes he did slur company and companionship). He thought I was a teacher, and he wanted to be in my class. He would like to buy me a drink--no, he really would! I look like the kind of stern teacher that would have whipped him into shape when he was in high school. He would really like to be in my class so I could teach him a thing or two. Near the end of his beer-induced commentary I realized the only way out of this was back into the rain. :\ Poor Lewis. Women would rather die than talk to him.
I got soaked the rest of the way and naturally there were no fireworks. And then it rained again the next day, too. I'm glad my friends convinced me to celebrate! Well, I did have a little fun except for the drunken Lewises, but it's no where near as exciting.

We had great weather. There's a country club in my neighborhood (a little less than a mile from my house) and they put on a 20 minute show. So we just stood out on my driveway and watched them without dealing with traffic or anything. (Unless you count all the cars that parked up and down the street in front of my house to watch the show)

It rains every fourth of July at my place as well. Although, it always lets up and everyone has fun doing their fireworks. Though, lol, even with it raining we do our fireworks anyway.

Your bikes tires protect you from being fried. You shouldn't have worried about the lightning .

Not true. If the bolt of eletricity can reach from the sky to the bike, it can go from the bike to the ground. Thinking that the rubber tires will protect you is only a myth. You get car's now-days with "farridate cages" (<- if that's how it's spelt)to protect you by sending the eletricity around you and into the ground.

We live in a black-hole. No weather, no people, nothing. Just endless brush. One of the few neighbors we have decided to set off all of their remaining fireworks yesterday and sparked a brushfire. Morons. They had to call a fire-guy from way-outta-town.
