when i tried addin the new directory with the (tm) it still doesn't work. It gives me the directory error

ok...i got it working now.
its just the way Renx explained wrong steps or missed one. cause none of them worked. i had two folders what were the same but one with out the (tm.) I had to delete one of the folder C&C Renagde (the one without the tm) first then remove the tm of the other folder

ok...now i dont' see an renguard icon on my computer or on the start menu? is this a newer renguard version do i have to run from the C&C:TFD icon?

You just need to run the shortcut to Renegade, which will now first load Renguard before running renegade.

If that ain't availlable, run game.exe in your renegade dir (and/or make a shortcut to it on your desktop).

Looks like this is solved, good job Goztow.

And Metro, next time don't blame RenX for you ignorant mistake. His instructions were perfect, and how you ended up with 2 Renegade folders is ridiculous because nowhere did he say to create any other folder. Also he did not miss any steps at all, and none of his steps were wrong.

It was your own foolishness and to put the blame on somebody else so you don't look like the idiot is wrong.
