I guess it's because names differ from time and place.
Take my name:
Now a days, in the Netherlands it's: Willem
in Englisch it would be: William
Back in history it would be: Wilhelmus

Heh.

My current callsign/nick/alias/etc: T.J.
My German (original) name: Richard.
My name adapted to Englisch: ...
Dick.

Names suck after they're a century old.

PS: Dutch and Deutch are very similar, I've noticed.

Notice: This post has been edited for grammar and spelling.

Aircraftkiller, I want to ask you two questions:
1. Why do you always keep saying "It's 'Nod', not 'NOD'"?
2. What does "Nod" stand for anyway? (For example, GDI means "Global Defense Initiative.)

  1. It's actually "the Brotherhood of Nod" if you want to get technical. "Nod" is just the shorthand version, much like the Global Defense Initiative's shorthand version is "GDI".
  2. Tying in with the above, "Nod" is not an acronym. It is just simply a word; "Nod". Why "Nod" instead of the "BoN," I don't know. Those answers more than likely lie in the original cast and crew of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn.
  3. If memory serves me right, Aircraftkiller is far too busy to answer your inqueries, or anyone else's...especially ones that lack the knowledge which is readily available elsewhere. everywhere online. But this, of course, is just my opinion.

He's been doing it for years and years, I'd say he does it out of habit now more than anything. Big Grin
