It's kind of loopy. The percussion in the background is off time (or out of time...erm...see my note).
NOTE:
I am not sure what the phrase is in english, but what i am trying to say with "off time" is that for an example your your track is in 4/4 Specific Time, but the percussions go in 4/8, creating a feeling that the most of your instruments are delayed.
Also, what program did you use? I suggest FL Studio 6.0 XXL Producer Edition. It's easy to use and has a lot of pre-installed instruments in it.

I'm really getting into your dedication to do this. If you ever want a small thing modeled, such as a gun, weapon, character or vehicle. You can always ask me, I'll UVW map it as well. You will have to get me the reference though.
That and I just watched Terminator 3 today.

Yeah I'm with Icedog. Reason is very newbie friendly. I suggest that you get Reason 3.0 and a CD series called "Producing Music with Reason". It teaches how to use the sequencer tracks and interface them with the instruments. Don't let the narrators gay lisp put you off, the tutorial is rock solid.

Yeah I got those video tutorials, they're nice. I haven't watched all of them, but I got a pretty basic understanding quite quickly from them. Also, the refills are really nice. Like analogue monsters, prop strings, and orkester.
