So today I decided to try and play Renegade online again after a long time... I never had problems with it even after the WOL to XWIS change, but this time I get to see this when I try to log in...
I can't reinstall the game because that would screw up some stuff with level edit. And even if I could im not even sure if it would fix this because well, I got 1 of those "cheap" copies EA sold a few years back and they didn't have valid serials with them...
Anyone know why the people that own XCC decided to do this?

There's a sticky in general discussion - forum with a program allowing you to change serials. But if it has always been valid up to yesterday, it should still be...

Yeah, fuck XWIS.
I've used 5 different serials (or more, who knows) including newly-purchased retail ones. And all I get from Olaf and his crew of tardkarts is "lol get a valid unshared serial!" When did this "unshared" bullshit start anyways? The real C&Cs were always all about sharing your disc and serial with a friend.
(Proof they are killing the C&C spirit!)

Contact Olaf... errrm no, ignore this, that won't work. Not really :-S. Maybe you can ask your favorite server(s) to provide you with their ip and port so you can direct connect.

I got ren installed on me n my dads computer we played in the same server no prob!

you can share serials but xwis has banned tons of serials to play on the net
i have no idea why but al of the serial older then i don't know how many time are banned
i have the same problem here but i bought a new one
