Does anyone who uses Renegade via TFD know a way to stop making it ask you if you want to launch the Config file before launching the game? I even created a shortcut to the game.exe but that still boots up the config anyway.

TIA.

I don't think the problem is related to TFD.

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I think it is since it's the TFD launcher that asks you the question everytime you click on Renegade. I'm asking if there's a way to stop that from always happening. Here's a screenshot if I'm not making myself clear enough.

I still don't think anyone's understanding my question so let me say it again.

I launch Renegade and that question pops out and I'll click no and the game will run fine. Sure that's good. If I launch the game through my own shortcut the config still appears but the game still runs fine after I click Ok, sure that's all good.

My actual question, is IS THERE ANY WAY TO MAKE THE FIRST DECADE NOT ASK YOU THAT QUESTION EVERYTIME YOU CLICK RENEGADE? It's really annoying having to click No everytime you want to launch the game.

I don't think so, it's just something you have to deal with.

You could always check the EA forums. I don't care that I have to press "No" each time I boot it up. I mean, it's one extra click. You're already wasting time by playing a game, so what's one extra click?

whoa.

I had TFD installed a while back and also had a shortcut on my desktop to the game.exe file - this bypassed the TFD screen all together - I do run Renguard, so perhaps that is why it is not skipping the screen for you.

If you are interested download from www.renguard.com

So does that mean if I have a Renegade shortcut with RenGuard installed it should also stop the config file from coming out? Thanks for the input.

Heh, a slogan for RenGuard: "Because it bypasses the 'run config' dialog box on TFD!"

whoa.

No kidding, hopefully more people that just got the first decade will want to run renguard now.

Agreed, I just uninstalled mine entirely - only have ren installed again.

Also, would it be OK to use that signature? it's really cool man and I'm assuming you plan to change it at some point?
