hey, i use Level Edit and some of the maps i make or Edit i Sometimes change the pt's like replace a SBH with a templar or give GDI a sbh eather way, anyway, is it ok if i start game in game2.exe so i can test my objects.ddb file to make sure they work for my map Very Happy or is that away of bypassing renguard?????????

Under normal circumstances, starting game2.exe instead of game.exe should not get you banned from RenGuard.

Singleplayer cheats are not the same as multiplayer cheats. They do not necessarily mean he is cheating in public servers.

That's like saying well Killing Babies isn't the same as killing adults.

Cheating is cheating is cheating. You either use 3rd person programs or you don't, simple as that. Aside the fact, he finds hacking Renguard "funny"

Well, having the Cargo Plane drop of Turrets is a little funny, and blowing up enemy PTs and watching them suffer is also funny.

But besides that, hacking is definately NOT funny.

To refute Havoc's point, cheating isn't always cheating. Back when I used to suck at video games I would need the cheats in StarCraft to get past some missions, and the cheats in the Grand Theft Auto series just make everything funnier. I hardly see how those are equivilent to hacking in public servers online and ruining other people's fun.

Seconded. Armed pedestrians + rioting pedestrians + all weapons + full armor + free tank = urban warfare.

Also seconded. If you run around as an invincible havoc with a rapid fire railgun while wiping the floor with Nod, good. If you do the same while wiping the floor with real people who aren't sharing your fun, you should be hit with something large, heavy, and blunt.

Cheating on your own impairs noone. Cheating in multiplayer keeps others from having fun.

Hell, if a bunch of people played co-op together and all cheated I bet noone would care much. (I personally feel co-op can be overly hard at times, especially with those respawning enemies, but...)

No, it's not. If you cheat, you make yourself think you're good, while you're crap (or suffer an extreme form of lazyness where even when you are good, you don't want to put any effort in it).

I remember using some built-in cheatcodes in Duke 3d back in the days and finishing the game this way. All the fun was out of it and I never really played the game like I should have. All surprise was gone too.

wow, i just googled this LMFAO, lol i made my crappy cheats with Level Edit and yes i changed all of Nod with some funny things, why cos i wanted to , doesnt mean i ACTUALY do it on Multiplayer does it?

Sorry For Triple Posting But, i Only ever made 1 "cheat" for Single Player, that was giveing Nod No heads Or These Bigs spikes through them , it was kinda funny, just i didnt have to kill anyone with Nod haveing spikes ^_^ but in multiplayer i would never cheat, i Have never been banned, and when i joined Kamuix server, he was saying something, i got spiked with first start lag then literly 2 seconds after i was banned for "F^^^ You" now on that link, r3dsworld.com , on my sig, it says MPHater, Now That was a joke to p^^^ a few ppl off, But Havoc the dude who banned me and just blaintly accused me of cheating, is in the MP clan, Now i think i did my job at P^^^^^^ him off , But no need to wrongly accuse a inocent player of cheating, and if you still dont belive me, join me when i play on xphaze marathon, about 7-8-9 american Washington DC Times , and you can watch me, Test me for every cheat there is

But i would only prove you wrong about me not cheating.

Also i use Level Edit to make or and edit Maps for friends, or i just wana test something's out.

Also Havoc (the dude who accused me of Cheating)

i realy don't Give 10 f^^^^ if you think i cheat, i have a few friends who play renegade with me, they know i dont cheat and thats all i need to know, i'm trusted by pleanty of people , so your acusation doesnt bother me,

The reason i posted these Screen Shots was to prove i dont use Cheats in any form nor do i encourage cheating or Hacking.

The idea is that you cheat yourself because you're given a handicap. If given answers for a test for the rest of your life you wouldn't have to do anything for studying to do good. Unfortunately you'll be a dipshit your entire life if you don't study and learn.

Same goes with gaming in that if you cheat to do better you're using a handicap to be better in the game. You get accustomed to using a certain cheat, that if you stopped you would have to get use to having to actually do normal damage which you wouldn't be used to.

Or as said it could be in a matter of playing single player and not enjoying the entire game if you had to use cheats. Say for instance having to cheat to beat Goldeneye64, or something.

Just because certain persons do not choose to use cheats in single player, does not mean that anyone who uses cheats in single player are "cheating themselves" or doing some great wrong. To say that is just stupid.

Just because a person doesn't care about saying "i beat the game on legendary w/o cheaing lolk", or being able to claim "dewd ive never cheated in sp" doesn't mean they are cheating themselves.

It is all a matter of choice. Maybe your life, and your self worth, depends on not cheating in a single player game. Maybe that is what is all important to you.

I think for most people, there are far more important things. Sometimes people don't CARE about "being skilled". I know i sure in the hell could care less.

When I have played renegade online on the rare occasion, i have gotten utterly slaughtered. Do I care? No, because *gasp* I do not live my life to be good at games. Games are merely a form of entertainment to pass the time.

For you to say someone cheating in single player is cheating themselves, is only taking your personal feelings and applying them to every human being.

Some people could care less about "epenis" and would rather have fun in games (such as the GTA example mentioned earlier).

Games are intended to be fun. If a person lacks gaming skill, and thus chooses to "cheat" in single player in order to actually be able to experience the game, who are you to discount that?

If a person could care less about completing the game, and just wants to run around doing funny shit, in *gasp* a game, meant for entertainment, who are you to say they should do otherwise?

A person cheating in single player is no different than a person who only watches the last couple episodes of a series like american idol.

Not everyone cares about the "big picture" or "pure experience". And they don't and shouldn't have to, they are just GAMES.
