Have played the game successfully for some time, suddenly I started getting lag, and/or run-on of character action, or start of character action not initiated. Thought the mouse was the problem, purchased new gaming mouse ... problem still exists. Problem happens no matter the server or number of players. Am in the process of reinstalling the game, though I doubt that will help. - Very frustrated!

Not sure if you mean lag or something else. Happens in single player? Installed new drivers recently? Installed new hardware? Tried http://www.google.com/translate_t?

New hardware, yes. My mouse ate too much cheese and exploded. Thats when the 'lag' started. I bought a 'gamers' mouse today and followed the loading instructions. The problem still exists.

Exploded,,as in died. Kicked the bucket.So I bought a new one. Thats when the lag started. Have I installed any new drivers lately? No. The new mouse is a 'gamers' mouse.I even tried my buddy's mouse. Same crap. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.The lag is still there.In Multiplayer. Don't say 'well then don't play multiplayer' cause thats the greatest.So, any help would be muchly appreciated.

it may not be 'lag' (latency)

what port is you're graphics card fitted into/or is it onboard?

PCI has to go through the southbridge, then the northbridge, through the FSB (frontside bus) then to the CPU. AGP and PCI-e dont, they connect straight through the northbridge then to the CPU.

sometimes my frame rate becomes slow and my charicter starts sliding around. check the servers FPS (SFPS). if its low, the server is causing lag if not, try to run less programs/background programs or upgrade your computer. also, maybe you connection speed is pritty low, call you ISP and find out what it is or go to this link: http://www.abeltronica.com/velocimetro/pt/?idioma=uk&new lang=uk

As it started with his new mouse, I'd say we need to search the problem there and not with the graphics card...

I assumle you installed software that came with the new mouse. Did you try uninstalling that software and playing without the custom software (standard windows drivers)?

Thanks for the info and suggestions!
Vid card is onboard, 256meg gForce, cable internet connect (48mps), never run anything else when playing the game, 1 gig RAM, 3.4 mhz processor, PC upgraded only 6 mos ago, had this problem before but once I upgraded to the new video card it stopped, then when my mouse died and I used another this problem started, and even now, with another *newer* gaming mouse it persists. Needless to say, it's extremely frustrating.

I've uninstalled the new mouse software but it hasn't helped. My character does slide at times but I only play on the servers with the best speeds. hmmmmmmm.

This is a "feature" if you have the Core Patch 2. It's normal.

I reinstalled the game one more time. Maybe its not lag. Maybe it's frame rate. I have adjusted the in game settings like it says in the read me notes and lowered the sensitivy of my mouse. It's still happening.

What kinda lag is it?

Could you do me a favour and join a server make sure your FPS, Ping etc is showing on the top right corner, if its not press F8 and type FPS.

Take a screenshot (press print screen, normally found next to "pause/break" and/or "scroll lock/insert" goto paint (start> all programs> acceserios> paint) edit > paste. Save-As Filename = anything you like, file type JPG (JPEG). then upload on it on here and i'll beable to help you out, hopefully.
