If you look at these benchmarks, you'll see that (ironically) many of the benchmarks have regular DDR memory around the speed of the fastest DDR2 memory.




I don't know a lot about DDR2 mostly because it used to only be compatible with Intel CPUs, but I don't think you really can expect a difference in games. You probably get better results with other things besides games, either that or AMD CPUs don't really use DDR2 any more than DDR 400 at the moment.
