Immediate game.exe error [message #198758]

Recruit

Whenever I try to run renegade with renguard I get the old "Game.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The game works fine when I use game2.exe.

I just installed renegade, the patch, and renguard all before playing online.

I'm running XP64 (nothing seems to work on this junk), but I'm hoping the problem is something different.

Any help would be appreciated.

renguard is not supported on 64 bit systems, you will have to wait for rg 1.04 to be released before you can use it on 64 bit.

and don't ask when it will be released, nobody knows yet and nagging them won't help Wink

im having a problem is says,
"game2.exe already exists in c:/westwood/renegade/. can not install"
but i cant get it to work, and im mad cus i just got banned for cheating when i did nothing wrong. Sneaky

seems like you already installed renguard in that directory before.

If you cannot find an uninstall for renguard, try uninstalling renegade, deleting the whole directory and install renegade in another directory (just to be sure). Then reinstall renguard.
