...Because he's one of the most least-used characters I've seen. When GDI wants anti-infantry goodness, they either get a sniper or a mobius. Patch seems kind of...useless.
Although in fairness, he's not nearly as useless as the GDI rocket officer.
And I heard from a slightly credible source that Patch sees stealth units better than others...?

He is extremely good at close range in the tunnels and remember his shots poison you aswell for extra damage - the only difference with patch on an sbh is that the shots will light him up like it would if he was walking on tiberium, thus making it easier to see him.
I never use him myself unless I am trying to place a beacon and need to cover it cheaply.

I know, but isn't Mobius BETTER against infantry? Isn't Mobius better at everything?
If I were teaching a class in Anti-Nod infantry, Mobius would get an A, and Patch would get a C-. In the greater scheme of things, although he's made to be anti-infantry and doesn't do much else, he's not that great as his job. In any case if I was short on cash I'd get Gunner over Patch, since he's cheaper and is 10x better IMO.

if you want to detect a SBH ^^ (to answer your question, basicaly i would buy a mobius but you only mention sakura or havoc)

It's not better detection, just that if you spray around for SBHs and one gets hit, it will light up a little longer, though, you could use a regular soldier and shoot just as well and see a flash because often times you really don't need to see the extra few seconds... would work the same for a tib sydney if you wanted.
PS, If you want to detect stealth better, you should focus on doors opening when players on your team aren't there (it makes it hard if some guy spawns, but it's the best way, short of the entire team shooting around.

I would say Gunner makes a decent detector, since he's cheaper than Patch and has splash damage. And once you're done detecting, he's useful for other stuff as well.

thats a good way if you want to sit the game through in your base searching for sbh.
