on non ladder games you can hit F8 and enter Extras in the console...now you can use them with altklicking on the infantry or vehiclechoice in the buymenue...
(i do this last time 2 years ago...you should look at the renegadewiki for furtheristructions and the extra chars and veh.)

(ok with some strange mods maybe...or as a admin... but theres no way that would pass renguard
