Been playing Renegade with RenGuard perfectly fine untill last night.
Tried logging on using the ingame menu, but it came up with "invalid serial" error.
I have CnC The First Decade.
Tried to delete the WOLdata.key as suggested in another forum but now I get a "RenGuard error".
Before you ask, no I haven't shared my key with anyone else and yes it is a valid key.
I found a "Workaround" but it's quite annoying.
1) Have the WOLdata.key in the game dir.
2) Start up the game, RenGuard should pop up as normal.
3) Once it's fully loaded, go to the game dir and cut the WOLdata.key and paste it to another directory.
4) Click "Renegade" on the RenGuard window and play normally.
Seems to work, I can connect not a problem and use RenGuard as well.
Posted this problem at strike-team.net and they suggested to me I should try posting here as well.
Please help!

Ok I used the tool, and I discovered something very interesting.
Once you open the tool, it shows you a serial number already entered, but it's not my serial number at all.
I checked the readme to see if this is meant to be some sort of security thing to stop people looking at your serial from over your shoulder but it's not.
Once I enter my serial number and click save, if I load up the tool again, it has a completely different number once again.
Any thoughts?

Just re-enter in your CD key using the CD key changer, and it should fix any problems you are having that are directly related to a badly-encrypted serial (such as a missing woldata.key, or The First Decade's serial mis-encryption).
