Every time I try to connect, I get the message: "Requesting server list... Operation timed out."

I searched the forums for a solution, but none of them worked for me.
I've tried deleting all .pkg's, deleting the "hosts" file, turning off my firewall, doing the "click cancel and then advanced listings" thing...

Help! Nervous

Could it be the nickname you're using. It does that if either your Pass or your Serial is invalid.

most likely your firewall is blocking renegade.

make sure game.exe (and game2.exe if your using renguard) are allowed by your firewall

It can't be the nickname or password, because this happens staright after i click "Advanced Listings", before the login box even comes up.

And I can't imagine how my serial just all of a sudden became invalid..

And I've tried turning off my firewall. Razz

If it puts you into the Server listing without the login box coming up. Than you have it set to automaticly log you in as something. It might be you're pass or Serial.

No i mean I click Advanced Listings and the "Requesting Server List" thing comes up straight away, before anything else. I never even get to the login box or the server listings, because of this stupid thing timing out! Sad

were u can cho0se from from quickmatch or advanced game... go to the left htingi (side left of screen)
u can go to profile information.. and then uncheck, automaticly login with this account

That ussually means that your internet is disconnected.

sorry, didn't see the bit about turning off your firewall Razz just goes to show I should stop skim-reading things Rocked Over

I had this problem before, it was temporary but something to do with the WOL -> WXIS redirect not working for my area, try downloading XWISC.exe and using that to manually set the ip, it worked for me. You can reset it again once it starts working again...
