Hello,
I had installed Renegade from it's CD and played it for a long time, I really enjoyed it. I got the older version so I never flew a hellicopter in the game, now its in the patch 1037. I patched my game but after patching its ask me to put cd into the cd rom, while it was already the. I did what I did when I newly installed that game i.e. I copy paste the crack file from the CD, now its not asking for a cd but nothing happence when I try to run the game. I think its probably because the crack file that I copy paste, as it was of an older version. PLEASE help me if anyone knows what to do, I think it needs a new crack file if thats the case then please tell me where to get it. I don't know exactly where to post this as I'm new to it so don't ask me to post it any where esle, instead try to solve the problem. I can't wait to fly a hellicopter in the game so PLEASE help me as soon as possible. Now if you are wondering about my computer's confg I'm attaching the report of directx. PLEASE PLEASE and PLEASE help me. My e-mail address is

1. Un-install Renegade, do this through the un-install program from your Renegade: C:\westwood\Renegade\uninstll.exe. (Make sure nothing stays behind in C:\westwood\Renegade.)
2. Re-install Renegade.
3. Download the 1.037 patch here: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/Renegade_1037_En glish.exe
4. Download the No-CD here: http://www.game-maps.net/index.php?action=category&id=79
5. Replace the game.exe in your C:\westwood\renegade directory with the game.exe you downloaded.
6. Run Renegade just to check everything works.
7. You can download Renguard Here.
8. You can download CP1 here.
9. You can download the latest scripts.dll here
10. Open it and only select scripts.dll and bhs.dll.
11. Open up your main Renegade folder (C:\westood\renegade) and look if there is a scripts2.dll, if there isn't then rename scripts.dll to scripts2.dll.
12. place the 2 selected files in your default Renegade folder.

Then play on-line, to register a nick you need to make up your own nickname and password in the ''login'' box.

Hi, thanks a million my problem is solved, now I can fly a helicopter. But I'm still unable to connect to server, I don't know y. I did all what u said but when I click on WOL or Game the Renegade ends without any error it just disappear and come back to windows. By the way thanks a lot for your help.

I also try your steps, but at steps 5, i cannot run renegade. It's says "cannot locate CD-ROM" I don't know why...before i install patch 1.037, i can run the game. If u know, please reply.

First install patch 1.037, AFTERWARDS install the no-cd patch.

Check if you aren't running a Firewall, and if you are make sure you put Renegade on the allow list. Most firewalls will minimize/close a application that is trying to connect to the internet without the program being on the firewalls "allowed" list.
