Server Setup, Renguard, Bren [message #198841]

Recruit

Hi

New user, Hi to all.

My Scenario, Got FDS downloaded, Want renguard on it and then Bren(in time)

OK, so I have downloaded FDS, setup cfg, runs fine. So I thnk off to renguard.com to get the ssc.

The SSC just says extract the files. Where to ?

Now I am making an educated guess(this is where it all goes wrong) I put it into the fds server bit and run the file.

Run FDS again and looks fine. I have no idea if Renguard is running, which one do I run the server from, the FDS link or the RenGuard.exe ?

Now I know from running Renguard, I had to install a whacking great patch, with maps and everything. Server side ? Do I have to do anything.

All help will be greatly appreciated. Especially from a person or persons who knows what they are doing Smile

if your going to install brenbot anyway the easiest way to setup RG on your serv is to simply install brenbot, RG is installed with it automatically Thumbs Up

Hi

Yes, I noticed that SSC gets installed with Bren. Only thing is, there are a shed load of options I would need to configure with Bren, SSC is far easier to install.

Noticed something incorrect on that site.

masters.brf is the highest level moderators (server owners)
admins.brf are normal mods.

The info on the site says the reverse. Just FYI.
