I choose not to run CP2, why should people be forced to? that makes no sense.

well first off all almoost all the servers are running on a ssaow script moost off the scripts can be activeted bay using cp1 ore 2
like stealth crate if u got cp1 and ur enemy dosnt u think ur stealthed but for them ur not and shoot u dead u can also hear ingame music witch is way better then no music and for some reason cp1 users can hear the ob regarging and non cp1 users cant
thats y it should be a must download to play online its yust more fun aint fair play
btw if u want to have renegade u should be forced to have th program/cd/ w/e
soi this is yust a part off the game

I can hear the ob charge fine.
I hate the music (If i want music I'll put in a CD)
I don't like annoying things above people's heads when they spam radio commands
I don't use the stupid kicking and punching movements on the numberpad
I think stealth crates are ridiculous and there were no intentions on making units randomly become stealthed (The sbh has a stealth suit, other characters do not)
I also don't use any of the maps.
I don't konw what else it does for servers or anything but as far as I can tell there really is no point for CP1/2 for me. At all. You want it? Fine, get it. The rest of us shouldn't have to if we decide not to.

ok what's this mean in English? and CP1/2 is not part of the game. Though i really can't bloody understand what you just said there
besides, what's this have to dow ith xwis not caring. As far as I know, you can't make people download stuff as you join.(at least they don't have the power to)

Put it this way: if you don't like it, then run your own server. Not to mention that there are plenty of servers that don't run various "balance-changing" things. All of the 'new' crates chances can be changed server-side. If the chance is zero, then you obviously will not be using it. But you will still be able to take advantage of faster map load times. If you don't want to use the karate kicks and shit, then don't use them. If you don't want the music, then set your game's music volume to 0. I did that long before CorePatch 2, because music is played during the single-player campaign and I didn't like it then, either. What is it that you don't like about the radio emoticons? I like them. They show you where someone is when they say something on the radio. They don't show up for the enemy team, so it won't reveal your position to them (eg, SBH or stank). If you don't like the servers using custom scripts, then don't play on servers with custom scripts. Personally, I think they're worth it just for the faster map load times and various map bug fixes. The faster map load times can earn you an extra 40 or 50 credits from the refinery trickle, which at the beginning of a game can make a hell of a lot of difference when multiplied by your whole team (especially with !donate and etc).

Because I usually load the same as everyone else? or 1-2 seconds behind? Like I said, everything else is just useless to me, I don't need it. The stealth crates make the game stupid for me because it doesn't "balance" anything more. Why would it, too? Because Nod can? This just in, but Nod pretty much has disadvantages with most maps. I don't like the stupid symbols that appear because it's pretty annoying. A guy says defend the base or defend whatever it's already specififying and most likely anyone who says enemy spotted (which really isn't even used anyways) I'd probably see the enemy. As for the maps, no, I haven't played them. Or at least most of them. Siege is an OK map but that's about the only one I like or enjoy playing. Though I don't have any maps right now

what advantages that it has(besides the icons, music, new EVA sounds and fater loading times) at least partially affect the gameplay?
Well, it is sort of cool that a weapon drops when someone dies, but so far that is really the only game affecting thing that CP adds. The icons are too small to really be any useful, and the sounds that a building was repaired does not really help or add much.
The only reason I have installed CP is because I believe that it improves gameplay, somehow, and gameplay is the most important thing to make the game more fun.
On a presonal note, I really like the music, but I only know one server that has it.
