Back On Topic:
"Point whores" do NOT hurt the team, unless the team consists of point whores and nobody is accomplishing any objectives. The you have a problem. It's a common and well-founded tactic is the RTS C&C games to keep one unit attacking a building to tie up funds or units in defense. Why shouldn't you do it in Renegade?
