Well, assuming they aren't citizens....why are we compelled to give them the rights of citizens? Sure, I understand they all didn't go to work. Not a big deal. Let's see them all quit those jobs. To me, that would be a much stronger statement.

I heard an interesting thing on the radio today. A role reversal if you will. It was a letter sent to the DJ(No, it was WGRD FM, a rock station, not Rush Limbaugh or Hannity.) Anyways, in it, the letter stated that if we want to live down there(I know we wouldn't want to, but hear it out.) that we could just walk across the border, and take jobs that we were more qualified for. Also, we would get all of the citizenship benefits and not have to pay taxes, we would protest in the streets with the American Flag in hands and have our children go to their schools. What's more, they would have to learn english to adjust to us because we didn't want to learn spanish. Completely hypothetical, but at least it shows another perspective.
