EA has many faults, not the least of which is releasing the same crappy game for every sport every year, with slightly updated graphics and new player rosters and stats, but you know what REALLY gets my blood boiling about EA?

GAMETAP

God damn peice of shit excuse for a waste of my time when I watch TV, since every other commercial is on how GameTap has "Over 200 of the hottest games", the newest of which is the orginal Splinter Cell. Most of them fall under the catigory of "games that time forgot".

The only thing more infuriating than GameTap commercials is the thought of GameTap itself--paying a fee per month just for the right to play crappy old arcade games you can download with emulaters. And once you cancel your subscription, you lose everything. What a rip off.

Man I hate EA.

might be a little pesimistic, but I am fully expecting C&C3 to infact be Generals 2.... an almost decent game in its own right, but NOT a C&C game...

APOC, EA's c&c community manager, seems a decent dude, determined to take our wishes in account for c&c 3. The horde at the ea forums (I'm a small part of it) does its best to repeat hundreds of times what we want and don't want so eventually they will understand it and hopefully take some in account.

If you hate EA so much, then don't buy their games. No customers = no money = no EA. however, I don't have the feeling this will happen soon. It's a bit hypocrit (spelling?) to say "I hate EA" and then go buy their games.

I'm going to buy C&C 3, because it's C&C.

I will NOT subscribe for GameTap, because it's a horrible, peice of shit idea and a huge rip-off.

Even if I (Or a large group) decide to boycott EA, they'll make plenty of money from re-releasing the same sports game every year...

The only thing I like about EA is the lack of security in their Games. The ability to easily modify.

I didn't buy an EA game. I brought a Westwood studios game. then EA brought them. I don't like EA. thier MOTD on WOL read "Electronic Arts will continue to service and support Renegade players for as long as necessary" And now we are on XWIS, not even remotely related to EA. hhmph.
They haven't patched any C and C game although they now own the franchise. Laziness or what?? for God's sake, we all know the games have bugs in them, and EA have the damned source code, and they don't patch? Why? Ok, say they aren't interested, say that in some cases there are third party organisations which are happy to try and support games. why not give them the source code or at least parts, or even: Patch it into the source?? Why oh Why do we put up with them?
