I don't see how it would be illegal. n00bstories.com is Crimson's domain, she should be legally allowed to do whatever the hell she wants to do with it, whether it points to her servers, to nowhere, or to somewhere else (including government sites).

Eh, I'm not sure there's a law on it, but I imagine you *could* be liable for some damages if you're setting CNAMEs to addresses you don't control to stop attacks.

If anyone is retarded enough to send an attack to "hub.n00bstories.com" without cross-checking the IP, the feds aren't going to come after ME about it. I've had that set up for like 2 years now. It's basically a message to anyone with an IQ higher than 85 that you're not going to get my IRC hub IP that easily.
