Recruit

pls help.i have just bought renegade.it was able to install but for some reason it will not start.this is my system.

microsoft windows xp home ed
version 2002 sp2
pentium 4 cpu 2.4 ghz
248 ram.

i checked a program inside the renegade disc(4got d name)n
i think it said my directx version was below the reqquirement
of renegade.but however,i already had directx version 9.0c.

the game program starts and sudeenly ends
pls help

Bizarre--DepWalker doesn't show game2.exe using ANY of the DirectX dll's at all--so I don't know why Ren needs DirectX in the first place--I do think that it could be a buggy version check in the installer that won't accept newer DirectX versions, though
