How do i get this working. When i seem to enable dolby surround in the renegade options i get this crackly sound when driving an apc. My friend also get this problem, any ideas?

sorry for posting in an older topic,

but I have the same problem since I use a dolby surround head set. Tried everything, but couldn't get rid of that noise. Anyone with a good idea how to fix that?

I get this with dolby surround, I think its due to the way dolby surround works, it crackles if you dont actually have a surround sound (5.1 or higher) system connected..

I switched to EAX 2 (you should have this available if you have a soundblaster card) and the problem is gone Thumbs Up
