hi,

Renguard has just installed the new core patch and now when i play i have only 4 FPS !!! a friend of mine had the same problem and the only solution he found was to install again renegade and not accepting the new core patch of renguard. Do you have any other solution ?

normally i have 25 FPS !

So i deleted and instaled again renegade and renguard without the core patch and now it works fine again. But i wonder if it was not a problem with my firewall (mcafee) : perhaps i did not notice that it was blocking a modified game2.exe????

Could be, maybe it was Windows Firewall... Who knows?? and who cares?? It works now.

I'm sure that he cares to have CP2. To be honnest: 25 FPS is already very low. I don't see directly what could influence your fps to drop due to CP2... I wouldn't think a firewall: if your firewall blocked it, you wouldn't be able to connect to ren at all.

I have the same problem.. while playing my fps is 120 average.. but if the server host says something my fps drops to 4.. and i like sniping but get killed everytime when it happens.. so my status dropped down a lot because of this problem..

I reinstalled renguard again.. it automaticly started downloading cp2..

now i'm gonna set PatchVersion to 0.. and see what happens.. if it doesn't work either..

who has a solution to my problem then?
I mean.. what do i need to do then?

No solution, but you could turn off "show non-asian chat messages" so that you don't see any messages. Not sure if that blocks host messages, or lets messages through but simply doesn't display them.
