You don't need the xwis tool to play online. Just use the online play functions built into the games and that'll autommatically conenct to xwis.

As for playing online, the following would be a good idea:

Renegade Patch 1.037 (ftp://ftp.westwood.com)
Core Patch 2 (look in the core patch forum)
Rengaurd (http://www.rengaurd.com)

Not everything is as it appears

first decade comes pre-patched to 1.037. Renguard is Renagades Anti-Cheat program. The Core Patches are various enhancements and bug fixes to Renegade. Both are creations of BHS run by Crimson.

To play online, you just need to click "multiplayer game" and then hit "westwood online". It will ask you for a username and password. Give in the username you want and a password of exactly 8 letters. Then you'll automatically be transfered to Xwis where you can choose a server and play Wink.

www.renguard.com -> Renegade's anti-cheat. Most servers don't require it but you can be forced to use it by the moderators.

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I don't run BHS. We have 3 directors - Blazer, mac, and myself.

Is BHS an actual registered company? Or business?

But is not that guy named ummm...Van der spek lol or whatever own Xwis. Crimson had nothing to do with Xwiz before Xwiz took over(I dont think) Oh and Xwiz is it not located in Europe? And notice when you keep hitting refresh in the main menu of the Renforums the date Under Last Message will keep flipping back and fourth from today and tommorow. Big Grin

But Crimson/BHS had something to do with Renegade and that's what matters. The owners of XWIS gave access to BHS because of the things they did and still do for Renegade. XWIS is a network that involves other C&C games aswell, the XWIS team couldn't possibly offer Renegadeplayers the kind of support BHS can.
