If I delete the file and reinstall a fresh downloaded crack, it will not run renguard. So I uninstall renguard with the renguard installer and the reinstall it. After I did that the 4 mb crack turns somehow into a 312 kb game.exe. I repeated this step twice to see if there is some other explaination, but everytime the same result.

This realy sux balls, anyone else have this problem or am I just screwed ??? I'm no expert on this, but it looks to me like I get this thing through the RG network.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also what happened to you can change your ISP I doubt you even know what a VPN is or even a remote idea of how the Internet even works.
If I disregard the deficit of cohesion between his statements, and the lack of proper spelling and use of symbols I think I know what he was trying to say, and I lol'd. No hard feelings though Brandan Wink

It is probably, just like we had with Norton, a false positive. You can or wait for renguard 1.04 to come out in around one month, or put AVG off when you're playing.

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I'd which. Thanx for the advice tho, but like I said, the game.exe turns into another file, one which I cannot run renegade with. My brother (who's on the same network) has the same problem now, but ren at my dad's PC is fine.

I did an AVG scan in windowns save mode and it found nothing. Neigher does any of the antispyware utilities that I have.
Damn Im sick of this! I'll just format the damned thing >:( .
Thanx for yur time tho.

Cya around.

It's not your computer, it's either an AVG issue or RG issue. See http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=18532&a mp;start=0&rid=19522

Same problem, same antivirus, the new update probably sees SVKP as a virus.

Can u still play with game2.exe? Cause otherwise it could be the svkp problem but avg could take a component out of game.exe to 'clean' it.

I formatted my pc, and with succes it seems. Yes Goztow, I could indeed still play ren with the game2.exe. Whatever caused it, is now gone.

Thanx for your help anyway, I appreciate it.

Could it be this "crack" of yours was the file containing the virus?

Negative - problem was AVG itself or so it seems. I've spoken to alot of people who had the same problem.

I used the crack from the UNRULES website incase you were wondering.

That's probably because you did not download those definitions. Even if you did, it could've been a later update which probably fixed it.
