Whoa... that is crazy... my mind kept thinking someone was right next to me making that noise. I kept having the ultimate urge to look behind myself or below me. Headphones just do perfect surround sound.

Or maybe someone recorded a flat sound, and used cool edit or summin liek that to moddify it???

It's a shame games don't make full use of sounds like that... I have yet to hear a game that makes as efficient 3D sounds as that, when set for headphone use. It's really sad.

Actually, I have seen an old game that did pretty good surround sound over head phones. Well, good may be a bit overstatement, but it was not bad. This game was called Thief 2. But it had bugs, like sound was coming from right, but thing that made the sound was coming from left, or from other direction so it kind of got confusing.
It is a bit of creepy, when you are in darkness(this game was quite dark), and you hear strange sound of metal hitting stone floor all around you, but you can't really see it. That made the game somewhat scary.
