I just wanted to let you know that I have sent all the threads to the Silo about the recent Reborn/APB discussions at the request of the new Reborn mod leaders, HeXetic and Steppo of PCNC. Please continue this thread in a positive manner in support of the new goals of this stellar duo.
Please trust that Hex and Steppo are among the most capable hands to be found anywhere, and Reborn will be... reborn!
I'm the bawss.

Yeah, it's like a Trash Can. It was used for the same purpose on the original Westwood-run Renegade forums before I inherited them so the name stuck.

Thank you crimson.
Could you create a new forum?
Mod Help Request and Wip or something like that.
Reborn and APB and Swmod would use it as exchange place for technical or material help. For moderators of the place, take YSL.
Well it's a suggestion.
A mod section on the forum:
- General mod discussion
- Help Request
- Tutorials
- Work in progress

Just 2 forums under a Modding section:
General Discussion and Announcements
Discussion, in general about mods, questions you have about mods, and mod announcements (finished models, textures, maps, etc.)
Modding Help
Model, texture, code, etc. editing/creation help, WIP posting, tutorials, etc.
Maybe a "message icon" for each of the major mods could be added to the [modding] General Discussion forum (or if no new forum, the current Mod Forum).

Either this or my idea sounds best. Too many forums would just clutter it up.
whoa.

It's an interesting turn of events that HeXetic and, of all people, Steppo stepped in to head up the whole project. They actually know how to manage a team while maintaining good relations with the public.
However, if and when they leave the team to stand on its own, I don't see Reborn lasting for much longer afterward. Why, you might ask? Simply because Renardin is still on the team. Granted, he's their only texture artist for the time being, so he's essential as of now, but if they get another equally talented texture artist, all he will do to the team is prevent it from reaching its full potential. Something tells me he won't stay in the "back seat" for long; hell, the whole time he's been the leader of Reborn, he always claimed he was "just a texture artist." If that was his idea of taking a back seat, his continued presence will only cause more harm than good. He's already received enough of a bad reputation from this whole debacle in successfully botching what could have been the best move the Reborn team could have made in its history. He showed he was completely unwilling to compromise and settle his differences with Aircraftkiller and whoever else on the RA:APB team at the time of the merger. He succeeded in manipulating the situation to prevent the merger simply because he has an axe to grind against Aircraftkiller. After all this is done and over with, is anyone supposed to believe that he will stay out of the limelight and act simply as a contributor?
Renardin almost single-handedly brought about the destruction of the entire Reborn project. His very presence on the team is a ticking time bomb; when he finally explodes, he may well take the entire team with him--it would certainly be a much more serious situation than the one we've experienced in the past few days.
I feel that if Reborn is to succeed, Renardin should be replaced as soon as possible.

Never. Deal with it. Why?
I didn't destroy Reborn, without me you wouldn't have Reborn anymore. Only a crap Reborn from 2003. It's very insulting to pretend I destroy it. I recruited the new team and pushed people to put their best on this mod. Now that we want to work as a community, keep your crap for you.
I will finish Reborn as the rest of the team will.

Thank you coolrock.
Hydra, try to get to know me better and accept my apologizes of the past. I really want a good community. I make a step for it, make yours.
(my apologize go to all the people I offended in the past, even AK.)
