Hello there! Big Grin

I have changed from Tiny Firewall to ZoneAlarm and from GSA to XFire today (been busy hehehe) anyway, now when I launch a game from xfire, RenGuard pops up saying hello, then I click "Renegade", join a server and wham, it says I don't use RenGuard :S

Any ideas?

I'm not sure if this will work, but try this:

1.Open RenGuard and go to ''Options''.
2.Check the box ''Load on startup''.

RenGuard should automaticly open Renegade when RenGuard is opened, does Xfire/GSA open up your Game.exe or Game2.exe?

Also make sure that ZoneAlarm allows RenGuard to connect to the master server.

Make sure it greets you by name when RenGuard starts -- it's case sensitive.

It shows my WOL name, not the xfire name, but when I get into the game I see my xfire name. Is this an error?

If I manually change to game2.exe, then Renguard doesnt appear at all, game.exe is standard and launches Renguard it's just that after Renguard has launched Renegade it shuts off or sumt.

Any ideas?

ok update:

if I set my name to "1234" in Xfire, it still shows my old when I play, so it appears it doesnt pass all parameters to the game or something is blocking it... It didnt work when I shut off ZA either..

Any ideas?

btw, manually setting the setting to game2.exe to bypass RG is not what it does, it allows Xfire to have ingame support

but then its totally unrelated to your problem! Very Happy

so getting back on topic... lol

log onto WOL with your XFIRE name, then try? see if it works
