Are you talking about your grammar or your Renegade problem? The problem is no one here can understand what your saying. Take your time and type out your words. It also wouldn't hurt to form complete sentences.

ok ok.I will type in complete sentences. The main gist of the problem is i cant install Renegade because this error message "E:\Setup\Setup.exe was not found" keeps appearing when I click on autorun and then no installation wizard or window appears.that is why i couldnt install Renegade at all.

Sounds like a problem with your CD Drive not the actual Renegade disc.

Let all your wishes be granted except one, so you will still have something to strieve for.

Anything from the motor being broken to the laser being out of alignment? Who knows.

Try it on a friends PC, see if it works, if it does, then the CD is fine and something to do with your PC is wrong.

well but i've tried other disks like C&C Gen and it has worked perfectly fine for me.i mean i can still play that game but its just only for Renegade which cant be installed till now.and if i compare the extent of the scratches on the disk of Ren to e one on Tib Sun, i tink the latter is worse since its much older.yet i still can play Tib Sun.so i guess it isn't the CD drive's problem.

Just looking at the scratches won't let you know.

You can have deep gashes on CD's, but as long as the PC can correct the errored data you are fine.

Try the CD in a friends computer

test on a friends PC will tell you if the problem is with your CD or your CD Drive

if
a) the game will install on friends pc then your CD Drive or something else in your PC is not working

b) the same problem occurs on friends PC then the CD is damaged.

No, XWIS doesn't make you able to download the 1.037 patch in-game, you need to manually donwload it. On your dad's laptop enter this link:

ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/Renegade_1037_En glish.exe
