Ugh. I am completely scared of a Conservative (Yes, that is the name of the party) government. On my local radio, they said something like 56 bills will be shut down if they come to power. Including Gay marrage.

It's not as much a matter that Canadians want a Conservative government, as they literally "have no confidence" in the liberal one. Frankly, I haven't had confidence in this minority in years. I agree with some of the policies they establish, and I would very much like it to stop there, but some greedy twits took advantage of the system, and if the conservatives get in-- and they absolutely WILL-- then I have to face some serious changes in legislation. My line of work depends greatly on the government, and with a conservative insignia next to the Canadian flag, I have to worry about possible pay cuts as well as take extra effort to ensure my own safety as privatization of our medical system will leave me penniless in such an event.

The liberals started out fine, then they took it too far-- and we suffer for it.

It will come down to who is the lesser of the evils. I doubt that will be the libral party (I hope not), though if the conservatives get in, I'd prefer them to have a minority government.

I prefer the Conservative party and their platform and as of now they will have my vote. I agree with them on most major issues including gun registry, marijuana, same-sex marriage and the military.

It would be nice if they represented a moderate government. But they hardly are anything shy of far right wing. I don't trust this minority, but I sure as hell don't trust Harper in charge either. He's toiling in matters that are perfectly fine the way they are, and not for the better.

I personally support the Neo Democrats on the Federal scene, but saddly most of their representatives are lamers that don't stand a chance between the ones of the two (correction: three here) major parties... For instance: their candidate in our district is unknown to the vast majority of the regional public, and she plans to turn this place into some sort of national park... Well, at least it seems.

i honestly dont like or trust any of the parties its not like they go through with what they promise ne ways .what else is dumb is that no vote for ne bill is a free election .i dont like the fact that you have to vote with your party, isn't it supposed to be what the ppl who voted you in want not the rest of your party

Our gun laws aren't the same as the registration laws. The registration laws are an annoying and sometimes lengthy process of checks and balances in order for a person to *get* a gun. Hunters and trappers in the north have a different form of registry which allows them to acquire guns with much ease. I like the registration the way it is, because it's merely a bereaucratic means of deterring people who just want guns for the hell of it. It doesn't (as far as I know) affect which guns people may own, and frankly I'm glad the conservatives don't seem to be pressing that agenda. Prohibited weapons are prohibited for a reason, and tweaking that would be reversing years of work phasing out unnecessary weapons from the general public.

We don't have the 2nd amendment here, and I certainly feel safer because we don't.
