No. All you need to do if you are lazy check the dedicated box on the host a game option. However, if you want anyone to come to it you should have a pretty good internet connection, and only host what you can. If it lags a lot, no one will come. Also, people dont like it if its going on and off every 5 minutes, so try to keep it up for a while.

1 major tip.
If you host put the FDS on a different box other than the one you use for game play. This helps reduce lag since all of the dedicated box's resources are for the server then, also if you run the FDS on your primary computer and you want to play Renegade, it will not load if the FDS is running first.

A seperate box is a must.
