Hello all. I'm doing a servay on weather or not my BF2 clan should become a Renegade clan as well. I ould like to see how many people are looking for a clan and would like to take a look. Please viste www.BF2help.squadbase.net for the NX Clan site.

Actually you can still create a clan as a group of friends that play together, train together and have a funwar now and then.

Generally the clans at clanwars.cc just play for the hell of it, the fact there's a ladder just makes it more competitive and fun. When we play funwars it usually ends one of two ways: either someone cheats against us, or someone thinks we cheat and say they'll reset our rank because they're some kind of Renegade Clan War admin. I'm not worried though, because everyone knows there's no such thing as a Renegade Clan War Admin.

Wasn't refering to clanwars actually. I've been to those forums. There is alot of dumb shit in there but it's all in good fun.

Call it a clan or a community, we're still here and there's more and more "communities" if you like than "clans" as you call them because many remaining Renegade players are there for the fun of it and not to play 15 2v2 or 3v3 clan wars every week.

You can create a clan in XWIS = The WOL management thingy = useless.
Just go to Chat typ /reg and it will give you a link to the Tiberian SUN and Renegade clan creation. But as far as I know, the ingame tags don't work..
As for the funwars.. most of the time NoN00bs played against other community's it turned out like Spoony said. GF for example they wanted a fun war but it ended up with them all leaving they were getting owned and started calling us cheaters ( so much for the funwar). If you wan't to get a good clan get active in Clanwars.cc manual league. If you start a more of community clan which doesn't really play cw's then dont play the clans from clanwars because it won't get owned.

clans compete against one another. communities all join the same tag and play in public servers all day, which is what people NOT on the manual league do. i can pretty much sum up what clans NOT on the manual league do all day:
1. make a server called " *GENERIC NOOB CLAN* Recruiting "
2. get some dumbass n00bs to download ts and join their "clan"
3. rent a public server and play in it all day
4. when people come in asking for a clan war, they dodge.
5. when people better than them wanna play in it, they go crazy !forcerg !rg !kick !kb or "OMG WTF TEST NOW"
oh and tbh, no "clan" on WOL/XWIS that ISNT on the manual league, has a very slim chance of beating one that is. and to be even more honest, clans that join the manual league from WOL/XWIS tend to get liek 300% better.

It's a rather good assumption that a person who plays on clanwars regularly is better than the average renegade player. and by average renegade player i mean someone who doesn't play clanwars very often. Seriously, play good people and you become better. I don't mean to sound mean but it's the truth of it. Not to mention it isn't an ancient secret. There's a big reason why certain clans had become good over the years. You just have to look at gse's early history to see what we had to go through.

Hmmmm so it's better to play 2v2 games all day without saying a word to your opponents unless "PWNed" or "I 4m t3h 1337" than to play a public game now and then and actually do so with friends and have some fun during those games?
Sure I like some CW's from time to time but don't judge people on the fact they play CW's or not

first of all karm, during the time you were in VERB, we never even played a single game with each other, and you havent seen me play since, id probably give you a good game.
dont get us wrong Goz, public servers can be fun from time to time, but when you play public server games, you can only learn so much. once you learn clan wars and play them regularly, they ARE fun, at first it may not seem like it cuz you'll be getting pwnt your first 20 games or so, but they are a good time.
and when you said you play clanwars from time to time, playing clans like Black-Cell or XpHaZe that run public servers, doesnt really count, since all they do is play in public servers all day as well. i mean, i know n00bs that think Bizmalt is like the best renegade player ever, but the truth is, he sucks hard. hed lose to any player on clanwars.cc garunteed, if you guys would stop arguing and just check it out and join the manual league and play competitively youd realize we aren't bs'ing you.

Ive played every major GSA clan except for H20, gse, and TA I believe. But one of my old clans played gse if that counts. Anyways I have played respectable clans even if, in your eyes they are not. By respectable I mean they play a good game and win or lose, they are graceful. NE, FLY, UN, The old XD, and others of the like.
There are several facets of skill in Renegade but there seems to be a need to trend whore and be good at clan games. Personally, I don't give a fuck. I do what I think sounds fun at the present time. If a clan war strikes me as a possible fun thing to do, I'll try to organize one. If someone asks me and I don't feel like it, automatically they turn into a parrot, and can only say the word Dodge. The image of how I "pwn" at Renegade doesn't really matter to me. So it's not really an insult if someone says I suck at the game.

Really the thing that I'm saying is that if you haven't played against real good clans and such is that they are probably(mostly) better. This of course shouldn't mean crap because you aren't playing against awesome players. Just don't go saying you're better than someone especially when they've played a lot of clanwars against said bunch.(as that would defeat the whole purpose of saying you didn't give a shit) The experience of playing clanwars alone is enough to tell you what to do in each situation.
