Un-install RenGuard, there will be coming out the 1.04 version soon that will fix this problem.

This is a known problem with Windows 2000. Either wait for RenGuard 1.04 (you may still be able to get into the private beta if you donate some $$$, ask Crimson) or use a different (preferrably newer) operating system, such as Windows XP.

it's better to wait. once I spent half a year on that crappy XP and I don't want to get this $hit back...
and, just for fun. how nuch does the private beta cost? %)

Doesn't cost you anything, the donations were for a new protection and as a reward you recieved Beta 1 as a thanks from us. Read the front page news on www.renguard.com for details on how to enter.
