Hi everyone.
After rebuilding my PC and attempting to put Renegade back on, the program refused to update my files saying they were invalid. Any ways, in the process of uninstalling Renegade all lost all my skins and maps.
I had:
Blue skins for SBHs
Brightly colored C4 (Timed was pink, as well as the remotes)
Green skin for Deadeye (found that)
Countdown C4 WAV (found that)
There was also a place for map packs....like 50 MB map packs...anyone know where I can get these files? I tried Google and searching this forum without success.
Thanks,
SuperTech

OK, I found the bright C4 on my hard drive...it was in brightc4.zip made by Snipe0187. I can send it to people if they want it.

| I imagine it's quite helpful on dark MCTs. Then again, so are bright stealth skins.

That's what pure mode servers are for
I have skins....Just for people, tanks and buildings....GDI is yellow and Black, Nod is Red and black (thats everything, including the walls in the tunnels etc)
except my flame tank, which is a moo cow....don't ask!

I have made a custom Renegade model texture for all of Nod, and all of GDI. I have never made them to my advantage. Ever. To me that is cheap, and it is an advantage. But I wouldn't ban them either, because people do have free will to do as they wish.

Texture in computer nerd terms, skin in normal peoples terms.
Why nerd definition: Because computer nerds usually have to get extremely technicle about what they are talking about...
Where as...
Why normal definition: Skin, because it is what provides the characters "look," and actually gives them skin in the game.

It's the other way around.
Computer "nerds" tend to use technical terms but computer nerds are both people that know a lot about computers and people that probably use their computer too much. I'd have to say normal people, as you put it, use normal terms. "Texture" is the normal term for a model's texture, whilst "skin" is a term coined by those who download/trade textures and texture artists who perhaps need a quick way of speaking to each other about textures.
In other words; the word is fake in its context, picked up like a fashion trend and used to death by people who choose not to use the correct terms then get all mad and hissy when "normal people" try to correct them.

Yeah, but Aircraftkiller wouldn't be any fun if he was "normal"....
But yes, you both have a point....but for people like me who use the term "skin" I don't care it's not the correct one....most people -"normal" included- know what I mean. But I won't have a hissy fit because I'm wrong or because I was corrected in my word usage, because that is what makes me unique. (Also possibly see annoying....but I can live with that!)
