For those of you who still love C&C Renegade, but also love using Xfire, I have a program I created just for you! The program will patch your Xfire games list to become compatible with RenGuard not once, but every time Xfire updates the list. All you have to do is run it, click a simple button and you're all set to play Renegade with Xfire in-game support!
The primary reason I started this program was because I noticed some fellow Renegade players over on the Xfire forums that were wondering what was wrong with their copy of Xfire, not allowing in-game support for Renegade. While I knew the answer (I even posted it), I was reluctant to create a program just for that purpose.
As time went by (approx. 3 months), I finally got sick of having to update my own Xfire games list by opening the file, searching for Renegade and then changing the value.
Now that I have created it, I will share it with you all so that you too can enjoy the Xfire in-game support for C&C Renegade that you may (or may not) have been wanting for a long time now.
Here is the link, the screen shot of it is below. http://www.drkstudios.com/?page=software
(I posted this because I thought you all would like something like this)

Uh. . . My. . .copy of Xfire is always reading RenGuard as being "Command & Conquer: Renegade". . . Even after it updates. Now, unless this program patches Xfire so that it reads "Game2.EXE" as the Renegade executable, I sort of don't see the point. No offense. If it does make it so "Game2.EXE" is the game that Xfire reads as being "Renegade," then it sounds useful. Particularly for those of us who like screwing around in Skirmish mode or single-player LAN games, but don't like having RenGuard up while not online.
Edit: Oooooooooh. I see what it does now. . . Thing is, I never use Xfire In-Game Support myself, but this is probably really useful for those of us who do. Nice one.

So you created a program that opens up C:\Program Files\Xfire\xfire_games.ini and edits the value:
LauncherExe=game2.exe
Thankfully you included this information in the readme so I didn't have to download an exe.
I'm the bawss.
