Okay, I've got a "clan suggestion" for you.
Avoid Sniper clans like the plague.
Why? Here's an example:
I met some dude in some Marathon server once. His name was. . .uh. . ."forkguy12" I think. I don't know if he was in a clan, but I know he was a Sniper for 90% of the game.
Now, at the time this happened, he was playing the game as Raveshaw.(Normal "costume".) I was wandering around on Field, then suddenly. . . Bam. Headshot with a laser. "forkguy12 killed StLithius". Now, I happened to catch what hit me in the "deathcam view," so to speak.(The camera rotated in just the right direction.) I was sort of half-high(on lack of sleep, I guess), so I jokingly stated, "Whoa! Pee-Wee just owned my ass! Heh."
Now. . . Your average, intelligent player would make the connection between my statement and the character they're using. There are even some people who could get the connection even if they've never played the Campaign Missions. But did forkguy12? Nooooooooooope.
Instead of trying to be understanding, he gets all indignant and starts accusing me of "starting shit with him." I try to calmly explain that I was just trying to be funny by referring to his character the same way Havoc himself does in the Campaign missions. This dipstick still continued to piss and moan for a good three minutes after that, in addition to his inconcieveable blathering about how "everyone's such an ass on this server" and whatnot which was a good two-minute rant before I tried to explain myself.
Another example: I met a Sniper on one of the Capture the Flag servers when it was empty. He got furious and called me a "n00b" because I killed his Deadeye unit with my Chemical Warrior. When I asked why he explained that "it doesn't take skill to kill someone with the Chem Spray weapon" and that I was somehow "blocking his view with the chemicals". Well. . .any intelligent sniper would just open fire at the origin of the chemicals. . . Obviously, he was not one of those.
Well, in short, a good chunk of the snipers I've met in the past are all assholes who think they're God's gift to Renegade just because they can run-and-gun and get headshots while doing so. Big freaking deal. I know a few people who can do that with a freaking Pistol, or even an Auto-Rifle. Same basic idea, but of course, Sniper rounds are instant-death while most other weapons are, in fact, not.
Anyway. . .I'm done. This seemed like as good a place as any to vent, so. . .yeah.

Way ahead of you... they don't even know the rules to sniper games, then they kick you for doing stuff which is perfectly legitimate.
A sniper clan +RST+ posted a faked conversation where I supposedly admitted killing the clanwars.cc ladder because "they were about to win it". Unimportant to them was -a- they were a clear 1500 behind my clan at the time, and -b- the only reason they were in 2nd was two other clans were penalised.
