You could say that for Battlefield 2 only it was DICE, and with MoHAA only it was 2012(i think). All three companies were owned and operated by EA, though.

I reccomend you get BF2. It's a fun game for £30 (www.play.com)

BF2 may or may not be buggy and prone to crashing. IMO, it was rushed to release a good half a year before it should have been. Nevertheless, it is fun, but I would recommend waiting for a few more patches before spending money on it.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

BF2 is ok. They should have given Dice more time to complete it though. It got old for me fast.

I'm reasonably sure the clan pages work, but that's irrelevant because everyone abandoned the auto ladder a few months ago. The clanwars.cc league is now a manual report system, which is not dependent on WOL like it was before (since games reported about 80% of the time on a good month and 10% of the time on a crappy month), with dedicated admin support and a better points system.

How come you aren't allowed a roster of over 10 players on that site?

1. There aren't a massive number of players who still clan in Renegade, limiting the roster size prevents a single clan hogging all the best players
2. How many active clans have more than ten players? I can't think of one.

I may be wrong on a few of them, but there are quite a few. These are just the GSA clans. I don't even know how many WOL clans have over 10, since WOL used to allow 20 I believe.

Active means if you ask them for a clanwar they say yes.

If you'd like to contact my clan, NE, for a war, our forums are at http://fobinator.suddenlaunch.com. Make sure you speak to Fobby. We have more than 10 members (~25 if I remember correctly), but not all of us can be on at once, due to real life and etc... I'm sure you know the feeling. Usually I will see about 15 of the members during various parts of any given week on GameSpy. If a war is set up, it will most likely be between a 6v6 and 8v8.

BF2 could use some sort of campaign. I know its not really the theme to the game but I think a campaign like in MOH would be awsome.

For anyone who doesn't have the game, it currently only has a "skrimage" for offline gameplay.

Sorry for bad spelling, I just got done a 14 hour day.

I cannot speak on behalf of most other clans, but GDE will play almost anyone. We just need some time to make sure we can get players at the time we need them. Just a day or two will do. So will the UN clan if you give them a weeks notice. NE is usually up for a good game whenever you ask, and so is DSC.

I don't mean posting on a forum and setting something up for next fortnight, I mean paging someone on MSN/chatrooms/ingame and playing them within two minutes.

Whatever, I can't base my life around a game, and neither can my clanmates. I guess we will just stick to our old fashioned "challenge or be challenged" way of setting up cwars. Without the clanwars website.

i always use xwis for ra2\yr, wol & gsa(rarely) for renegade. i say if you dont want to go to wol or xwis go gsa, but clans do work on wol still, they were broken in yr for about a month or 2, but they sent someone from ea to fix, and the clans still do work in renegade (wol). ea did make some good games, like sport games.

WRONG! EA Sports makes the sport games, and we dont despise them. We despise EA. I actually had a discussion with a few people about this, and i believe DJM was in it.

nah, EA Sports made me mad when they bought the rights to the NFL, even though they produced teh best NFL game anyway. I was actually a fan of EA until about 2 years ago.
