In addition to this, I want to add two more moderators to the "Blackhand Studios" and "Technical Support" main categories (We will call them "Category moderators". These two moderators will serve to identify individuals who should not have posting privileges in those categories. (FUDForum allows me to do that) We will have a private forum to vote on these individuals, and between Blazer, myself, warranto, and the two new people, we will vote majority yes or no on privilege removal. This will allow those people to still participate in the other sections of this site, but will keep them out of the tech support section where they are not helpful.

Please discuss and vote. This is open to discussion.

I like the new forum structure, myself. I'd like to see these forums reshaped in that fashion. It looks quite a bit more organized than the current setup. So. . .I vote "Yes".
On another note. . .where's the actual poll? O_o;

The current structure is essentially a clusterfuck. Here's a brief history:

* Original Renegade Forums (by Westwood) - 7 forums, no categorization
* I take over - I severely alter phpBB to look like the UBB forums we were on. I lose the ability to categorize because I edited that part out
* BHS is formed and over the last couple of years new forums are added

Now we have 16 forums instead of the original 7 or so. Categorization will allow you to collapse areas that you don't visit and will hopefully allow new users to be better able to figure out where the hell to put their questions.

I very much agree that people who don't provide help should not only lose the right to post garbage but as a result lose the privlage to post when they really do need help. I do believe a good "clusterfuck" is very nice every now and then as well as fixed, not fixed, fixed situations! Big Grin

Two questions, where did the core patch section go? It's not listed in the new format. And is haveing a RG ban section a good idea? That will be a n00bified section if there ever was one. The amount of brain cells one will lose entering that section will be incredible.

oh I haven't voted yet.

I added a section in for Core Patches. I moved them around many times in planning that list and it got lost in the shuffle.

Is it better to have one n00bified section or n00bism scatted throughout all the forums?

Point well taken, I vote yes. Perhaps to avoid abuse and help keep the section under control it should also be under the power of the new category mods?
