The PS3 will have better specs, but the Xbox 360 will more than likely be more popular. I heard that it will be compatible with the newer, more popular Xbox games, like Halo 2 and Fable. Personally, i like the Xbox 360 better. Ive got one on Layaway/Preorder right now, that i still need to pay off despite my lack of money. I heard/saw on G4TV's coverage of E3, that the Xbox 360 controller will be wireless.
On a side note, whats with the literal opposite coloration of the Xboxes? Xbox is black and the Xbox 360 is white... To quote many people: "FTW?"

PS3 is compatible with PS2 and PS1 games whereas xbox 360 is only compatible with some older games.
PS3 - 1

Its probobly because, after only having a PSX, PS2 and PC for the longest time, you get to loathe Sony when your computer is taken/off/fried. When i first played on the Xbox, i played Ghost Recon. I loved it. The graphics werent what they are now, but i absolutely loved the change of controller and everything. Since the Xbox 360 is going to have better graphics capability than then Xbox, im putting my money on the Xbox 360 for a purchase.
Another possible reason, is the graphics. Like a said before, i used to only have the PSX, the PS2, and a PC. The PC had semi-decent Video Card(ATI Radeon 7000.), but overall, the graphics on all three werent to great.

I think your TV would have to support both NTSC and PAL video to be able to do that, unless of course the console can convert it for you

I think it would be better if the console could convert it. But this is not very important. One more thing, the TV does not have to support NTSC/PAL, only the DVD player. This point was put there just for fun, so I am not going to discuss it any more(there are more interesting points to discuss).
