EA suckz, that happened Angry

When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"

the ranks restarted at the start of July, then after a day or 2 they stopped working completely.

Yeah, they stopped, it annoys me too as it was a great way to tell if u were playing with a total n00b or just with a n00b.

The only thing the rank tells you is how much that person sits outside of a base shooting the corner of a building.

Trust me, people care. We run a co-op server laddered with a modified always.dat, that basically fooled the WOL ladder system into thinking that the server had twice as many people in it then it actually did (was on a 50 player server at the time) so it distributed points as if there was 100 poepl ein it, and there was only one side, that being GDI that always one, so whoever cam first in that server could easily get litteraly ten of thousands of points, just for one map.
Due to this the server was dossed offline, so people must care. Well they cared enough to knock it off-line.

Yea, well Dossing someone else’s server offline is bad.
But running a server with bots that requires no skill at all imo.
I mean I’ve been in there once and you would just see people waiting with there l-tank beneath the drop point of a Chinook where those bots come out and run them over to get 400 kills and the ladder and then do this 90 min’s long. Well, that’s just sad. People who sit at a place shooting a building with 30/40 fps sucks because they can do a lot more afford. But what if your playing with 3-12 fps there is not much you can do more then pointwhoring in a tank because infantry gets useless at that point. And some people just like the WOL ladder.
And not to forget why ruin the WOL ladder pts? Honestly I don’t care about it anymore some of my (friends) do but the stats and stuff is fun. Seeing then that people get 800 kills after 3 hours of play In a bot server sucks. That does not justify your server being Dossed but whoever. If Westwood was still alive I’m quite sure it wouldn’t be allowed.

btw WOL rank is back up, the question is for how long Razz
