I completed the first mission, clicked continue, and Renegade just jumps back to the main menu :/

hmmm interesting.....i say just reinstall the game again, but thats me and it always works. or you could just not play missions, lol.

if youve never played the missions dont fret, they are not exactly riveting...

get on multiplayer, its much better Rocked Over
