Ok i was just wondering, when i log on to rengaurd it signs to the first server, and when i get to westwood, and the renegade servers/games, i have perfet connection....4mb top, and a gring ping thats in the high 40's. when i start a game my ping is in the 100's. I can play for most of the game, but torwards the end i start to lag! why? I heared over the chat you can change your internet settings to t1/cable or something to that effect. is that true? It would be nice if someone will tell me. Thank you.

Yes, you can change the connection type. If you go to the log in screen in Renegade, go to the menu on the left and click "My Information". In there will be a place to select the type.
I don't recommend setting it to T1 though.

yeah i also heard if you put it to lan it makes your connection faster...but hey i got t1 so i aint tripping :)i got mine on 56k
