ummm, back in the days you could do netstat -o ore -n cmd

and the address would pop up (this counts for msn)
but now it filters through a server so its not possible anymore as far as i know. For Aim i think it kinda works the same. Try sending a file ore let the person send a file you want the IP from. And do netstat -o netstat -n see if it works.

You should really stop trend following. Give me your reason for saying AIM sucks and I'll let this one go.

Don't give him ideas.

To get IP's you still can use that , direct connect with the person then enter netstat and go find which IP you don't recognize Smile

Hell, i use Yahoo because i goin into the chat rooms, and to use the good AIM ones, you need AOL. And to chat in MSN you need to pay. Its odd, because when i first started using MSN, you didnt have to pay to chat.

Sorry, I have been camping all weekend. I hate AOL IM, it is just a personal preference that I like msn IM better. Everyone I know uses msn except a few school friends. Everyone I personally know, hates AIM also. I have never been to fond of it. It is really good for file transfers though.

Let me summarise this:

1) You think AIM is really good for transfers because Oblivion said it.
2) You think AIM sucks because all your friends think it sucks
3) You think AIM sucks because you like and use MSN.

Dumbass, I want YOUR reasons for hating it. Stop fucking trend following.

I have used AIM and I know it is good for file transfers. And yes, I prefer ms over it because most of my friends do not use it, and I like the features msn has the AIM does not.

AIM only sucks because it doesn't log things automatically, there are no tabbed IM windows, and there's no message pop-up windows. But by that logic, AIM only sucks compared to using Trillian for your AIM contacts. Personally, I was pretty happy using AIM with DeadAIM. Then when Trillian v3.0 came out, my friend finally convinced me to try it. Trillian v3.0 really is a vast improvement in stability and features compared to the older releases. I was impressed. So impressed, in fact, that I use Trillian to this day.

But anyway, back on (sub-)topic. . . AIM would be great if it, by default, had all the features DeadAIM, Messenger:Mate, or Trillian have. But by itself, it's pretty nice, if not butt-ugly. Particularly v5.9xx and up. . . Yeesh. Total Italics Count: 14 >_> <_<

One reason AIM is the best. Direct Connect. I send like 100 pictures a day on Direct Connect to everyone. Soooooo useful.

DJM, i think you need to add deadfive to your list, now. Since obviously he both sucks, and is a dumbass. Ive already listed why i dont like AIM, so i cant get hit with that.

He was never removed from "the list". He's just less of an annoyance now than he was before, the spamming has mostly stopped but the trend following continues.
