5.1 Speakers on Renegade? [message #16072]

Is there any way to use 5.1 speakers (logitech) on Renegade? There is some options....4speakers and Surround, but it only change to 2 speakers in windows when I enter Renegade...

There is a bug in renegade which makes it change your multimedia settings 2 two speakers when you run it.

You must alt-tab out of Renegade while its running, and go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, "Advanced" under Speaker Settings, and change it to 5.1 Surround.

The Surround DOES work in Renegade once enabled, but as I said everytime you run renegade for some reason it changes it to 2speaker and you have to reset it.

I have creative 5.1s and the same thing used to happen until I got the latest Live drivers, now I don't have any problems... might want to try updating.

Actually, you can go to Renegade configuration program and change the driver under the audio-tab. I use the EAX 2 and now it always stays as 5.1 surround sound when I run Renegade. I think EAX 2 has a better surround sound too.

There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly.
