Well recently my brother was going to get upgrades for his computer, but they ended up telling him it would be cheaper to buy a whole new one since he wanted top of the line. His old one had a defective motherboard which was replaced, and i got hold of his old computer. In my opinion his old one couldn't really get much better, but he thought it was worth it so he could play doom 3 and far cry on max detail etc.
So i replaced my old computer with his old one, and now ive got a huge upgrade compared to my old sony vaio that was bought in 2001.
I was dealing with 7-10 fps on a 32-50 person server on renegade with my old computer, so this is a huge increase for me since i was playing half life 2 on maximum detail with no frame drops.
I dont know much about computer stats, this is a custom built computer though that he got just a year and a half ago.
well its Amd athlon(tm) Xp 1900 whatever that is lol.
1.60Ghz , 768mb of ram, and geforce 4400 TI i belive.
Plus it will be upgraded to 1 gig of ram this following week or the next.
Renegade can now be played how i always wished, no more 5 fps to deal with lol. Im hoping this will help my rank get better and kill ratio.

Overall, mine's about the same, though I still get low FPS with many players present. And why do people play on those massive servers??? they usually run the official maps, all of which are too small and not designed for more than 32....as is Renegade itself, hell, I don't think any computer is recommended to be networked with more than that amount at any time.

BTW AMD is better than Intel even though the working frequency is lower than that of the same from Intel at compairable preformance.

My average FPS was always 60 to 120. Meaning, it changed a lot depending on what was happening.

lol bigger servers are more fun, it's faster paced and more hectic. Ren's maps are really quite big, I think most of them could handle 50 people fine.
They only lag if the server is shite or if your comp is ancient. An Athlon XP 2500+ and an R9800 sell for not much at all, and that will run ren fine.

Fuck you, man. Iron Maiden rocks.
I normally get about 24-35 FPS with my XP. Its a Microsoft Video Card, but it runs Battlefield: Vietnam, so its atleast equivalent to an ATI 8600. Im not really sure of everything else. I know its an Intel E-Machine. Oh, wait, i found something. Ill just list it all, and let yall figure it out.
330 Intel Celeron D Processor 330
2.66 GHz 256k L2 Cache 533 MHz FSB
